Take Part In Art

Moleskine Cashier Plain

Today I bought 5 Moleskine note books. I am going to fill them with writing, drawing and pictures. I need a theme though. That’s where you come in. I am going to take your suggestions for themes. My five favorite themes from your suggestions will be commemorated in art book form and displayed on this site with YOU referenced as my muse. So, give me your thoughts. What, or who, do you think deserves to be an objet d’art?

Cool idea Carlos. I have some ideas for you. 1) The grass is greener. Debating the quandary of envy. 2) Digital vs. Print 3) What is culturally right vs. human instinct.

    hey Carlos!
I think this is a great idea! It’s hard to suggest to someone else ideas for art because I believe it’s fairly personal. However, something I like to do that you might be able to utilize/adapt for this project is people watching. When you really watch people and their interactions you can sometimes be witness to things that are incredible. Just little moments in their life. Even as short little blurbs they can make for incredible stories. I do this when I travel….
Just my two cents. Whatever you end up doing, best of luck and I’m sure it’ll be amazing!

    A few ideas:
3 books = birth, life, and death. Fill the books with illustrations that represent each.

Ask a 5 year old kid a complex question, such as “how was the universe formed?” Document their responses, they draw what they describe.

Compose an illustrated diary of a man who has machine guns for testicles

I like superheros. Often I’ll be doing something and think to myself – this would be so much easier if I had a particular super power. Then that leads me down a train-of-thought about what benefit could a superhero with such a power bring to the greater community.

Based on this, you could dedicate the books to creating heroes designed to tackle day-to-day issues ranging from things as simple as making your regular grocery shopping experience more efficient to far more global concerns like the environment, poverty etc. etc.

I love your idea. I’ll send some as they come to me.
Off the top of my head…
–the pros and cons of various superpowers
–what you imagine the people close to you could have been like as children. possibly without naming names.
    –alternative endings to decisive moments
–what might happen if certain animals developed opposable thumbs
